The DHC self-discharging disc separator is equipped with advanced automatic controls, including an inverter, PLC, and electrical components for easy slagging.

Working Principle of Disc Centrifuge

DHC self-discharging disc separator from Zhengzhou Toper Industrial Equipment Co., Ltd. is designed to perform two key operations:

• Liquid-solid separation (clarifying operation) for low concentration slurry.
• Liquid-liquid separation (or liquid-liquid-solid) for emulsions (separation operation).

The disc separator functions as a vertical centrifuge with the drum mounted on the top of the vertical axis, driven by a motor for high-speed rotation. The drum consists of nested disc-shaped parts with small gaps between them. Suspensions or emulsions are introduced into the drum through a central feed tube. As the suspension or emulsion flows through the disc gaps, solid particles or droplets settle on the discs to form sediment or liquid layers. The separated solid particles slide along the disc surface to accumulate in the drum's largest diameter portion, while the separated liquid is discharged through an outlet. The discs aid in shortening the settling distance for solid particles or droplets, increasing the drum's settling area and production capacity of the separator.
