The PSD centrifuge is an improved centrifuge based on the SD series three-feet up discharge centrifuge. Made of stainless steel 304, a food-grade material, the PSD centrifuge is known for reducing labor intensity, quick discharging, and easy cleaning of the filter bag, earning it a good reputation.
This centrifuge eliminates the traditional suspending type of three legs support by adopting a flat-plate counterweight and high viscosity damping agent vibration isolator for vibration absorption. Installation does not require a concrete foundation.
The PSD centrifuge is suitable for separating suspensions containing solid-phase granules with a diameter greater than 0.01mm. It is particularly effective for filtering toxic and flammable materials, making it widely used in industries such as chemical, pharmacy, food, and light industry.
Examples of materials suitable for separation include gypsum, thiamine, mirabilite, ferric sulfate, and various other substances.
The drum, powered by a motor, accelerates materials entering from the top feed pipe towards the shell through centrifugal force. Liquor passes through sieve pores for discharge, while solids are retained in the drum. Discharging the filter cake is a simple process.
The PSD centrifuge facilitates automatic and continuous solid-liquid phase separation by accelerating settlement of solids in the drum wall through centrifugal force. The clarified liquid overflows from the overflow hole, ensuring efficient separation.
