It is designed for separating low-solids suspension with minimal difference in liquid proportions. The principle behind its operation is centrifugal force, which separates materials of different densities to achieve efficient separation.

The DHC self-discharging disc separator is equipped with advanced automatic control features, including an inverter, PLC, and a set of electrical components for efficient slagging.

Working Principle:

The DHC self-discharging disc separator performs two main operations: liquid-solid separation (clarifying operation) and liquid-liquid separation (or liquid-liquid-solid separation for emulsions).

This vertical centrifuge has a drum mounted on the top of a vertical axis, driven by a motor for high-speed rotation. The drum contains a series of nested disc-shaped parts with small gaps between them. Suspensions or emulsions are fed into the drum through a central feed tube. As the suspension flows through the gaps between the discs, solid particles or droplets settle on the discs to form sediment or liquid layers. The separated solid particles accumulate at the largest diameter portion of the drum, while the liquid is discharged through an outlet. The discs play a crucial role in shortening the settling distance of solid particles, increasing the drum's settling area, and enhancing the separator's production capacity.
