The filter press is a solid liquid separation device using the principle of pressure feeding. It has been used successfully in almost every industrial filtration application over its 150 years of history. 
It includes a series of filter plates and frames or recessed plates which are arranged alternately. The filter medium is provided in between the plates. A feeding pump is utilized to force the liquid through the medium leaving the solid trapped inside. Compared to other pressure filters the filter press holds more solids per square feet of filtering surface area then any other.

a. Cake is squeezed by inflating the membrane and therefore perfectly dewatered. Even if the chamber is not filled sufficiently due to variations in process conditions, the filter performance is guaranteed.

b. Uniform and equalized build up of the filter cake and the fixation of the cake ensures that the required washing time and need of washing liquid are drastically reduced.

c. Higher dry solid content in the filter cake through the squeezing procedure, lower energy consumption in the event of subsequent drying.

d. Easier cake detachment and a more favorable self activated discharge of the press.
   Specially designed filter plates allow the use of air blowing for additional dewatering       simultaneously limiting the related wear and tear.

Working principle of PLC automatic chamber filter press:

1. Pressing device (cylinder piston rod or screw) drive pressing plate forward to push all media plates together till thust plate

2. Stop pressing and feed solution mixed solid and liquid, when find liquid coming out become less,

    stop feeding

3. Start to make pressing plate backward

4. Separate each media plate and the cake down

2. Filter plate, Polypropylene(PP) with acid & alkali resistance, anticorrosion, innocuity, tasteless,  light weight and high strength.

3. Filter cloths, High quality polypropylene acid and alkali proof or high quality polyester acid.

Operation process includes the following

1. The hydraulic unit drive the head plate to press the middle plates and filter cloth between head  plate and tail plate. And chambers form between every two plates.

2. The pump will deliver the mud into the chambers. Solids retainled in the chamber to be cake,  and liquid flow out. Until the cakes is full. Then pump stops.

3. With about 10 minutes pressure holding. When you see there is no liquid flow it, the squeezing  process finishs.

4. The plate shifter device will help to pull the plates one by one, and cake will discharge  automatically.
