The membrane filter press features membrane plates and filter chambers made of ordered filter plates. It effectively separates solid and liquid in slurry materials, reducing moisture content by fully squeezing the solid into cake shape. This machine is ideal for filtration of sticky materials and achieving desired moisture content ratios.
Membrane plates are constructed similarly to recessed chamber plates, with flexible drainage surfaces. After filtration, air pressure is exerted behind the flexible drainage of the plate, inflating the membrane to apply pressure on the filter cake. This process squeezes the cakes to reduce remaining moisture before discharge.
The Membrane Filter Press can be stopped at the most efficient point in its cycle, achieving final solids content in a significantly reduced cycle time by applying pressure to the membrane built into the filter plate.
