The Tubular Centrifuge Machine VCO from Zhengzhou Toper Industrial Equipment Co., Ltd. is a high-quality separation equipment designed for low-solids suspension, ideal for separating immiscible liquids with small density differences. This machine operates on the principle of centrifugal force, effectively separating different materials.
During the wet processing process, fresh coconut meat is used as the raw material. Apart from producing oils, this process also yields coconut powder, protein, carbohydrates, and vitamins as valuable by-products. The mature coconut undergoes shelling, meat separation, and removal of the outer seed coat. The extracted oil from the seed coat serves as a by-product. The coconut meat is then ground using a crusher and roller mill, followed by extraction of coconut pulp using a screw press. The coconut pulp is filtered through a sieve conveyor, and the Virgin Coconut Oil (VCO) is separated via high-speed centrifugation.
In the Philippines, a two-step centrifugation process is employed, resulting in an oil yield of 17 kg/100 kg of fresh copra with low free fatty acid content. The Coconut Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Tropical Agricultural Sciences utilizes a three-step centrifugation method with varying rotational speeds to enhance oil yield and by-product utilization. Any remaining water in the oil is reduced to 0.1%-0.2% through air heating or vacuum methods. The deoiled coconut juice is spray dried to recover protein and carbohydrates, while the skin residue from the screw press is pulverized to recover oil and produce coconut powder.
